Kartunet Inspirational Competition 2015: Discover Boundless Inspiration

Jakarta – Kartunet Community is organizing an inspirational article writing competition with the theme “Discover Boundless Inspiration,” open until May 31, 2015. This competition is open to the general public, and there will be two smartphone gadgets as prizes for the winners.

Kartunet Community, as a community empowering people with disabilities through information technology, strives to raise disability issues through works published on www.kartunet.com. One of the sections on our website is the inspiration section, which highlights individuals who, despite their limitations, can inspire society.

Coinciding with Kartunet's nine-year anniversary, we initiated an article writing competition to highlight inspirational figures around us. The goal is to further foster interest in writing within the Kartunet Community, while also providing positive energy for Indonesia by showcasing extraordinary individuals who are able to create, achieve, or benefit others despite their limitations.

Requirements for the Kartunet Inspirational Competition 2015

1. Open to the general public without age, gender, disability, or professional limitations.
2. Participants must be members of the Kartunet Community; if not yet a member, please register for free here.
3. Submissions should be in the form of a feature article or narrative, telling the story of an inspiring individual. This can be based on an interview or personal experience.
4. Include a photo with the interviewee in the post. If the story is a personal experience, please include your photo.
5. When uploading photos, include alt text and a caption with a brief description of the photo.
6. Submissions must be original, never before published in any media, not plagiarized or adapted, and not currently entered in similar competitions.
7. No registration fees are charged.
8. Use good Indonesian language.
9. Manuscript length must be a minimum of 400 words.
10. Submit your article by posting here, under the category "Lomba Artikel Inspiratif" (Inspirational Article Competition).
11. Submissions are accepted from March 21 to May 31, 2015, at 23:59 WIB.
12. The editorial team of Kartunet.or.id reserves the right to publish submitted articles in digital or print form with the author's permission.
13. The editorial decision is final and cannot be contested.

Prizes for Winners of the Kartunet Inspirational Competition 2015

1. The best article, chosen by the editorial team, will receive a smartphone from Polytron.
2. The most favorite article, determined by social media votes, will receive an Andromax smartphone from SmartFren.

Terms for the Most Favorite Article

1. The most favorite article will be determined by the accumulated number of likes, retweets, and Google +1s received on the post published on Kartunet.or.id.
2. You can start collecting votes once your article has passed editorial review and is published online on Kartunet.or.id.
3. The voting period ends on June 14, 2015, at 21:00 WIB.
4. Therefore, submit your article soon, as the sooner it's submitted, the greater your chance of getting more votes.

2. NOVI, THE TENACIOUS ONE WITH NUMEROUS ACHIEVEMENTS - awarded as the best article chosen by the editorial team.
