To travel there, you can save on your budget by: -Staying at a local's home (negotiate a reasonable price, as renting a homestay can cost Rp.200,000/night) -Hiring a local guide to get information and avoid getting lost -If you plan to trek and visit beaches, bring boots and beach gear -An underwater camera (this is essential for documenting the ocean's beauty while snorkeling/diving) So, how do you get to Moyo Island? -By land via Pototano Port, West Sumbawa, then travel overland to Sumbawa Besar for 2-3 hours, covering 93 km. -Rent public transport from Pototano Port, take a public bus for Rp.25,000/person, and from Sumbawa for Rp.4,000 to reach Muara Kali or the ferry dock to Moyo Island. -From Muara Kali to Labuan Aji costs Rp.25,000, and it's free on Thursdays! -Know the arrival and departure times of the public boat.
