Kartunet - The 2018 CPNS selection registration is open from September 26 - October 10. Besides knowledge and mental preparedness, there are administrative matters that, if not handled meticulously, can lead to your failure to become a CPNS. Therefore, prepare these before taking the 2018 CPNS Test for Disability Applicants. Generally, the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) provides guidelines on what documents need to be completed when registering for CPNS 2018. However, it's important to remember that after checking the general requirements set by BKN, don't forget to check the specific requirements on each agency's announcement page. Because it's possible that each agency may require additional qualifications according to the position being applied for. At the very least, there are several documents you should prepare before applying for the 2018 CPNS disability quota.

  1. Photocopy and scan your latest E-KTP (Electronic ID Card).
Use a good camera photo or scanner to create a softcopy of your ID card. Don't forget to crop the file to the size of the ID card so that the file size is not too large. Create two formats: JPG and PDF. You only need to photograph or scan the front part with your data and your best photo.
  2. Photocopy and scan your Family Card (KK).
Try to photograph or scan the latest Family Card. If you have recently married or separated from a Family Card, it's better to process your Family Card first to get the latest one. The process of changing a Family Card doesn't take long at the sub-district office. It might only take 1 or 2 days. Because this data will be very influential when you pass and become a CPNS, serving as employment data to determine salary and allowances.
  3. Scan and legalized copy of diploma and academic transcript.
Currently, initial registration or administrative selection is centralized and online through the SSCN.bkn.go.id website. Prospective participants are only asked to upload scanned documents such as diplomas and academic transcripts. However, it's also a good idea to start arranging for the legalization of copies of these documents from your original university. Because usually, this process during the CPNS opening period can take much longer than usual. Just in case an agency requests legalized copies of diplomas and academic transcripts to be sent via mail. If not, these documents will definitely be used later when you pass the tests and during final documentation. Better safe than sorry.
  4. Color passport photo
If the required self-photo is a softcopy, then this is certainly not needed. Because you only need to take a selfie with a smartphone camera. However, it doesn't hurt to also prepare a 4 x 6 cm color passport photo with a red background. Because in the final documentation process, after passing all tests and exams, passport photos will definitely be required by the organizing committee.
  5. Disability certificate
Specifically for disability quota applicants, some agencies require a disability certificate to be attached. This certificate can be obtained from a doctor at a hospital. For example, for a visually impaired person, please visit an ophthalmologist to request this certificate. However, don't forget to re-read the specific requirements of the agency you wish to apply to. Check if there's a sample letter format provided, or if a specific category of doctor is required (e.g., a doctor at a general hospital, or if a Puskesmas (community health center) doctor is acceptable). The point is, you must be thorough and pay close attention to every written requirement.

These are more or less the main documents that disability quota applicants for CPNS 2018 must prepare. Since the 2017 CPNS selection, the requirements or documents that need to be fulfilled for administrative selection are no longer as complicated and "costly" as before. Currently, there's no need to send documents that incur costs, such as SKCK (Police Clearance Certificate), yellow card (job seeker card), physical and mental health certificates, or drug-free certificates, at the initial stage. Usually, these certificates will only be requested if participants have passed the Field Competency Selection (SKB) and are confirmed to become CPNS. Again, these are only the general requirements needed by each agency. To be sure, don't forget to carefully read the requirements or the announcement for the opening of positions at each agency. Be a smart and wise prospective public servant and state civil apparatus. If you have any questions, please write them in the comments section. (DPM)
