🌱 Hi, Kartuneters. We Are Looking for Friends to Grow With. We live in an era where technology is developing rapidly, but the voices of some of us are still unheard. We believe that literacy can be a bridge, and digital can be a tool. But it all needs to start with one simple thing: the willingness to care and learn. Kartunet is the space where we try to address that. A community active in youth, literacy, and digital fields, with a passion for advocating for the aspirations of people with disabilities and developing creativity through information and communication technology (ICT).
What We Do?
At Kartunet, we operate with four core principles:
- Inform: providing online information about disability in Indonesia.
- Empower: conducting empowering training sessions using technology.
- Network: building a community network that cares about disability issues.
- Inspire: sharing stories and works to reach more people.
But we are not a large institution. We are simply a group of young people who believe that change can start from small things—from writing, discussions, to honest digital projects.
Who Are We Looking For?
Not those who are already the best, Nor those with a sparkling CV. We are looking for you—who:
- Are still learning, but never stop trying
- Have integrity, even if sometimes hesitant
- Are interested in disability issues, literacy, or digital technology
- Want to grow together, not walk alone
What Will You Find?
- A small but warm community where you can write, discuss, and experiment
- Projects that may not be perfect, but are meaningful
- New friends who share the same spirit: to grow.
- A Leadership mentoring program with amazing, caring mentors.
How to Join?
As part of the application process, we invite you to write a short essay (300–500 words). You can choose one of the following themes:
- What does digital literacy mean in your life and our society today?
- Tell us about an experience where you learned something from scratch.
- Why are you interested in disability issues, and what do you want to learn more about?
You don't have to write in a literary style. We are not looking for the smartest, just those who are sincere and honest. ✍️ If you have difficulty writing for any reason, you may submit an audio recording of 3–5 minutes instead of an essay.
