My Mother, My Hero

Mother, why did I choose the theme 'Mother'? Because I know how immense her contributions have been in guiding and raising her child. My mother is a truly inspiring figure in many ways; from her, I learned patience and how to act at the right time. My mother is also a confidante for everything, especially regarding romance in my life, offering much input and advice when I experienced heartbreak. My mother always encourages me to keep trying and striving, and she never stops sending her best prayers for her children. When she saw her son doing something difficult, and she thought it would be very hard to go through, she never once discouraged him; she always prayed and always gave him encouragement to solve the problem. A big step taken by her son was when he graduated from high school; he then pursued higher education at two universities. Thanks to her prayers and guidance, one of the majors he took earned him a government scholarship. This major received a scholarship because, at that time, the government was preparing educational staff to handle and assist teachers with a new curriculum in education. This felt heavy for my mother because the government scholarship program required its students to serve/intern at elementary, middle, and high schools for 2 years. However, my mother always encouraged him and helped him solve the problems he encountered. Sometimes she also felt sorry for her son, who started his activities from morning until night. Eventually, he successfully completed his studies in 2011. Although the government scholarship program had concluded, his internship program was still ongoing. This was because the internship location did not have a computer technician, and his skills were still very much needed there. This continued until early 2013, when he resigned from the internship because of the burden from his unfinished university studies. The other university program he was responsible for was mechanical engineering, which he pursued concurrently with his government scholarship studies. He chose to resign from the internship because he wanted to focus on completing his thesis. This decision also received his mother's blessing. She did not demand a specific timeline for him to finish his studies but always advised him to complete everything he had started. She always encouraged him when he was on the verge of despair. She prayed incessantly for her son to be eased in completing his thesis. Then, in early 2015, she reaped the fruits of her success when her son finally completed his studies. However, her prayers did not stop there; she also always prayed for her child to get a job that matched his aspirations. Mother, she means so much to all of us. The child in the story above is me. When I faced many pressures in my life, it was always my mother who understood and helped me. Everything I do is solely to make my parents happy; all I know is hard work. I hope I am always given the opportunity by Almighty God to maintain my family's happiness, especially my parents'.
