At the ASEAN Blogger Peduli event, organized by the ASEAN Blogger Community in collaboration with Kartunet Community at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Training Center building, a talk show on technology and accessibility for people with disabilities was also held at the end of the event. The talk show discussed how technology and the accessibility of public facilities are absolute prerequisites for people with disabilities to integrate into society.
The event, held on December 1st, featured Faisal Rusdi from Jakarta Barier Free Tourism and Dimas Muharam from Kartunet Community as speakers. Meanwhile, the moderator was Ms. Cici Utami from Kopdar Jakarta. Jakarta Barier Free Tourism (JBFT) is a movement initiated by several disability activists to organize regular monthly outings to public facilities for people with disabilities.
More than just "outings," this activity also serves as public outreach to encourage interaction with and proper assistance for people with disabilities. Meanwhile, Dimas from Kartunet Community explained how the role of technology greatly assists the activities of people with disabilities, especially as experienced by friends in the Kartunet community.
This includes screen reader programs and the initiation of the joint Indonesia Nyaman movement for online public accessibility advocacy. For those who couldn't attend this exciting and inspiring event, don't worry because we have prepared video documentation. The video is divided into four parts, so please watch them one by one :) httpv://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZ9FDXR0FOBx92bB_qWtFPkbjmeSb7tsH
