That day was the day for all students to collect their first-semester report cards. Ferdi's parents were busy people, but they managed to make time to pick up Ferdi's report card. At school, the hustle and bustle of parents made the atmosphere quite hot. This situation made Ferdi uncomfortable staying at school for long. He decided to go back to the library just to enjoy the cool air conditioning.
But unfortunately, the electricity in the library was disrupted, so the AC wasn't working, making the room quite hot. Ferdi briefly saw Indri in one corner of the room, with a guy he already knew.
“Hey Fer…! Come here.” The guy greeted, pointing at Ferdi.
“What's up, Dolf?” Ferdi said, walking towards them.
“Sit down first.” Adolf said casually, offering an empty chair right to his left. So, Indri was to Adolf's right, and Ferdi to his left.
“I'm so grateful, Indri and I finally got back together five minutes before I saw you in this room.” Adolf said, looking at Ferdi then at Indri. Ferdi felt as if he had been struck by lightning when he saw this reality. But he tried to stay calm.
“So-so, you mean. Indri is your girlfriend?” Ferdi said, his chest feeling like it was about to explode.
“Yep… That's right! We've been dating for a long time, had a brief conflict, broke up, and now we're back together. Funny, right?” Adolf said, smiling and stroking Indri's hair.
“Y-yeah, it seems so. Hehehe…” Ferdi replied with a forced laugh. But his feelings were deeply shaken; his head felt like it was spinning, his heart was pounding, and his heart felt like it had been shot with a cannonball, shattering into pieces.
“Well, we're going to celebrate, specifically we're going to KFC. You can come if you want. And don't worry, I'll treat you to as much as you can eat, if necessary, until you can't eat anymore.” Adolf said, seemingly unaware of Ferdi's true feelings.
“No, thank you. Oh, by the way, Dolf, I can't stay long, my parents might have finished picking up my report card.” Ferdi said, wanting to quickly leave the two of them.
“Oh… well, that's okay. But, wait a minute.” Adolf took something out of his bag. And two rather large boxes emerged from the bag.
“This one is a sensitive recorder; this device can record up to a hundred-meter radius. If this microphone is used, its power will double.” Adolf said, unpacking the smaller box and demonstrating the devices on the table. The device looked rectangular, almost like a matchbox but two centimeters thicker and four centimeters longer. Ferdi just watched what Adolf was doing.
Adolf began assembling his equipment and immediately tried it out. He started recording with the device. After he finished, Ferdi listened to the results and was very surprised; the sound was very clear and distinct. Ferdi was instantly very impressed with the device. Untungnya Ferdi diizinkan melihat-lihat alat tersebut. However, the display on the screen was quite confusing for Ferdi.
All the words on the menu were just symbols.
“Don't worry, here's the dictionary!” Adolf tossed a thin, small book containing a dictionary related to the symbols on the screen. Ferdi only glanced at the dictionary for a moment, then Ferdi returned the device and the dictionary to Adolf.
“This is directly from Japan, very useful for listening to secret conversations.” Adolf said, putting the equipment back in order. Ferdi just nodded and Indri remained silent.
“Did you buy that yourself?” Ferdi asked, looking at the device as it was neatly arranged back in its box.
“No, I was given it. By my grandpa who just came back from there. It's my birthday present!” Adolf said, closing the box.
“Roughly, how much does it cost?” Ferdi asked with interest.
“He said it was about US$300.00. Well, roughly three million rupiah.” Adolf replied casually.
“But…, if you want it, I'll lower the selling price. I need money right now!” Adolf said, now whispering.
“How much?” Ferdi asked curiously.
“Just two million rupiah.” Adolf replied enthusiastically. Ferdi thought for a moment, but his mind told him not to buy it because he had a premonition that he would get a lot of trouble from that device.
“Okay then, but I'm sorry, I don't intend to buy this device yet.” Ferdi said, getting up from his chair.
“Yeah… no problem.” Adolf said, putting the device back into his bag.
“Want some chocolate?” Adolf asked, opening the other, larger box.
“No, thank you.” Ferdi said, walking quickly towards the door. Ferdi's feelings were so annoyed at that time. Finally, he immediately headed to the canteen, hoping there was a drink that could refresh his mind. Upon arriving at the canteen, the chairs were already quite full, and the empty one was next to a veiled woman whose face was familiar to Ferdi.
Yes, Siti Nurhasanah. Actually, Ferdi was reluctant to approach her, but no matter what, Ferdi had to sit next to her if he wanted to eat in that canteen.
“Sir…, one orange juice!” Ferdi said, sitting to Anna's left. ”Hi, Assalamualaikum!” Ferdi said, tapping Anna's shoulder as she was seriously enjoying her fruit ice. ”Waalaikumsalam. Oh my goodness…, you startled me. What are you doing here, Fer?” Anna replied, expressing her surprise.
“Nothing, just wanted to keep you company, poor thing, all alone! Hehehe…” Ferdi joked, which made Anna's heart flutter a little.
“Ah… who said that, there are plenty of people here!” Anna replied, pretending to be innocent while looking around the room. A few moments later, the orange juice arrived. Ferdi immediately drank the ice non-stop and it was gone in an instant.
“Oh my Fer, don't get used to drinking like that! That's a devil's way of drinking! And according to medical science, that way of drinking can disrupt our digestion.” Anna advised.
“Yeah, yeah.” That was the only answer that came out of Ferdi's mouth.
“Hmmm…, this kid is so nagging!” Ferdi grumbled to himself.
“Sir…, another orange juice, and also one fried rice!” Ferdi said, pointing to one of the canteen staff.
“Do you want some, Ann?” Ferdi asked.
“No, thank you. I can't eat too much.” Anna replied, declining.
“Seriously? Don't worry, I'll pay!” Ferdi asked again, trying to convince her.
“Yes…, I had breakfast before I left for school.” Anna replied kindly.
“Oh… okay then.” Ferdi replied. Not long after, the waiter came over to them and served Ferdi's order.
“Aren't you ordering anything too?” The waiter said, speaking to Anna.
“No, Sir, I'm already full, he already offered me earlier. Oh, by the way, Sir…, please, can I have two glasses of plain water!” Anna requested from the waiter. The waiter complied with Anna's request. He brought two glasses of plain water along with their teapots. Anna just smiled seeing the waiter's behavior. Ferdi then began to devour the fried rice he ordered.
“Ann, who picked up your report card?” Ferdi said with his mouth still full of fried rice.
“SHHH! Finish your food first!” Anna said, tapping Ferdi's shoulder. Ferdi just nodded at Anna's command. Then, Ferdi sped up his eating and opened his mouth wider to fit as much food as possible.
“Fer…, eat slowly, because that way of eating is not good! It can harm you!” Anna said in a slightly stern tone, lightly banging on the table.
“Nagging si…” Ferdi couldn't continue his sentence. Apparently, he choked because of the way he ate, which Anna considered wrong. Anna immediately gave Ferdi water. Ferdi drank it.
“That's why, when you're told something, understand it! It's not that I'm nagging you, but I'm just advising you, because it's all for your own good!” Anna advised with full patience.
“Yeah, yeah…” Well, that was Ferdi's only answer. After Ferdi finished, Ferdi paid for everything he ordered. He also paid for the fruit ice that Anna had ordered earlier. Anna had forbidden him, but Ferdi insisted on paying, threatening to get angry if she refused. And finally, Anna just complied.
“Oh, by the way, Fer, here…!” Anna handed a piece of invitation paper to Ferdi.
“Whose invitation is this?” Ferdi asked, opening the sheet of paper. Anna just instructed Ferdi to read it. The content of the letter explained that today Anna would be holding her 16th birthday party. The invitation stated Anna's hope that the guests could attend the event and also strengthen their ties of friendship. So, in an instant, Ferdi finished reading the invitation.
There was no special expression on Ferdi's face; everything was cold. ”Who all is invited?” Ferdi placed the letter on the table. ”Clearly, the Rohis kids are invited, and also our classmates are required, unless there are other unavoidable commitments. You can't make it, Fer? Well, that's okay.” Anna said, looking at Ferdi's face. ”I'll think about it later.” Ferdi showed a face that should not be shown to a woman like Anna (frowning + grumpy).
”Okay then. If you want to come, I'd be very, very grateful. If not, it won't be too much of a problem for me. But if you can, please try to come!” Anna pleaded with Ferdi.
“Yeah, yeah. Alright, my parents are probably waiting at the gate. I'm going first, Assalamualaikum!” Ferdi said with an indifferent attitude, walking away from Anna.
“Wa-alaikum-salam.” Unconsciously, Anna's tears began to flow after seeing Ferdi's attitude, which she honestly had not expected.
“Oh Allah, what is my sin that he behaves like that? Am I wrong if I give him advice? Oh Allah, grant him your guidance!” Anna thought to herself. Anna then got up from her chair and walked out of the canteen. *** At Ferdi's house, Ferdi's parents one by one gave him lectures about all the grades Ferdi had received. With such mediocre grades, Ferdi's parents offered Ferdi various tutoring programs, which would, of course, make Ferdi busy.
“No…, Ferdi absolutely doesn't want to!” Ferdi said, rejecting their offer.
“But son…, this is for your own good too!” His mother advised.
“Ferdi absolutely doesn't want tutoring! Ferdi wants to be free, Mom, Dad! Without being tied down by tutoring. If Mom and Dad keep forcing Ferdi to get tutoring, it's better if Ferdi doesn't go to school!” Ferdi replied in a tone like a sulking child.
“Ferdi…! Okay, if you don't want tutoring, that's fine. But Mom and Dad ask that you must improve your studies!” His father said to Ferdi. Ferdi just fell silent. The atmosphere was quiet for a moment, suddenly, the home phone rang.
“San… please answer it!” His father commanded. Susan immediately picked it up. After chatting briefly with the caller, Susan handed the phone to Ferdi. It turned out to be Aditia, Ferdi's close friend. ”Yeah, hello, Assalamualaikum. What's up, Dit?” ”Waalaikumsalam. Hey Fer, have you gotten an invitation from Anna yet?” ”Yeah, I got it. Are you invited, Dit?” ”Oh, of course, I'm an important guest.
Hehehe… Hey, you're coming, right? You better come.” ”Yeah, yeah, if I'm in the mood, I'll definitely come.” ”OK, that's all then! Wasalamualaikum!” ”Waalaikumsalam.” Susan asked Ferdi. ”What did Aditia say, Fer?” ”Anna. It's her birthday.” Ferdi replied somewhat lazily. ”That's good. Are you invited?” ”Yeah, but I really don't feel like going, Sis.
Not to mention choosing a suitable gift for her.” “Who is Anna, Fer?” His mother asked.
“That's his crush, Mom…” Ferdi immediately covered Susan's mouth.
“Oh my…, our son is all grown up, isn't he, Mom? No wonder he doesn't want tutoring, afraid it'll interfere with his dating schedule, huh? Hehehehe…” His father joked. ”What are you talking about! Anna is just a friend, Dad, besides, Ferdi never dreamed of wanting to be her boyfriend.” Ferdi replied shyly. ”Ah… don't lie, Fer, it's a sin! Alright, the gift is my business, the important thing is that you want to come, and I suggest you go there.
Fer, learn to respect others! Try to imagine, if you were hosting an event, and the people you invited didn't come, wouldn't you be disappointed?” Susan advised. ”Of course! So what should I do, Sis?” Ferdi asked, confused. ”Just go there! I'll buy the gift.” “Alright, your sister is right, you should go, son! It's up to you if you want to use Mom's or Dad's car.
We're not going anywhere today.” His father replied.
“Oh, where's Mr. Topo, Dad?” Ferdi asked, surprised.
“He's on leave, said he had something to do. Haven't you learned to drive yet, son?” His mother said. ”I can. But…, oh well, Sis, please buy it! Here's the money!” Ferdi took some money from his computer desk drawer and gave it to his sister. ”Consider it done, Fer, you just need to show up. I'll find a good gift for her!” Susan said enthusiastically, accepting the money.
Susan then left them and went to look for the gift. With mixed feelings about whether to go or not, he repeatedly calculated the probabilities. And strangely, the last probability always fell on the answer: go. Finally, Ferdi no longer hesitated to go there. *** In the afternoon, around half past four, Ferdi was ready to go to Anna's house. He looked completely different; he was wearing formal clothes that enhanced his handsome face.
He chose to go using his father's car. However, on the way, Ferdi was somewhat lost in thought, almost hitting the sidewalk. Fortunately, he quickly became aware of the danger threatening his life. And a few minutes later, Ferdi arrived at Anna's house. Anna had been waiting for him in her yard. That day, Anna looked more beautiful and elegant in the clothes she was wearing.
Anna smiled when she saw Ferdi arrive. ”Alhamdulillah, you finally came. Come in, Fer! Only Guestina, Tania, and Alia have arrived so far. They actually came to my house since noon. Thank you for coming here.” Anna said, guiding Ferdi to the living room. ”Hmmmm, yeah. Where are your mom and dad, Ann?” Ferdi asked, glancing around the house in case Anna's parents were there.
”Mom and Dad are out of town. They left after picking up my report card.” “Oh….” Ferdi then sat in the living room. ”Wait a minute, Fer, I'll make you a drink.” Then Anna went to the kitchen to make a drink for Ferdi. A few minutes later, Anna returned carrying a glass of Iced Orange Juice, as if she knew what Ferdi's favorite drink was. The glass Anna brought was quite cold and fogged up on the outside.
She forgot to bring a coaster, so Anna was holding the side of the glass. Finally, when she was about to place the glass on the table, it slipped from Anna's hand, fell, and broke. All the contents of the glass spilled onto the floor. Shards of the broken glass hit Ferdi's foot. Anna regretted the incident. ”Fer, I'm sorry, I forgot to use a glass with a handle.” ”It's alright, Ann, don't worry about it, maybe it was time for that glass to break.
Now, please get me a rag to mop up this floor, OK!” Ferdi said, getting up from his seat. ”Oh, no need, Fer! Let me do it.” Anna rushed to find a rag to mop the floor. In the living room, Ferdi was clearing away the glass shards with a fiber broom he found in Anna's yard. When Anna returned to the living room, Ferdi was still clearing the glass. ”Oh my goodness, Fer, I told you not to!
Let me do it!” Anna said, trying to take the broom from Ferdi's hand. ”It's okay, Ann, as humans, we also have to share tasks. I don't want you to get hurt by those glass shards.” Ferdi said, continuing to clean the floor of the glass shards with the broom he was holding. ”I'm sorry, Fer, because of me, you're being bothered like this. You didn't come here to work.” Anna said, starting to mop the floor.
”It's fine, relax. I'm happy to do it.” Ferdi said with a smile. Anna was still mopping the floor where the syrup from the broken glass had spilled. Meanwhile, Ferdi had finished clearing the glass shards. He sat back down in his chair. On the table, there was already another glass of the same syrup. ”Anna, who is this for?” Ferdi asked, already knowing the answer.
”Well, for you, who else? Please drink it, Fer!” Anna said with a smile, dipping her mop into the bucket. Ferdi drank the beverage Anna had prepared. ”Ann! You're amazing! This drink is so delicious! Who made it?” Ferdi said, stunned. ”Ah, really, Fer! I made it. Are you lying when you say this drink is delicious?” ”No, it's really good, just the right sweetness!
Look, this glass is already empty. Well, if there's more, I'd like another.” Ferdi said, waving the empty glass. ”You want more? Just a moment!” Anna immediately took the empty glass and refilled it with the same drink. ”Ann, happy birthday! Here, I brought something for you, please accept it!” Ferdi took the beautifully wrapped gift, prepared by his sister, from his bag.
He gave the gift to Anna. Anna looked happy to receive it. ”Thank you! Anna can't repay you.” ”It's okay. I'm already happy if you're willing to accept my gift.” Anna left Ferdi for a moment to put the gift in her room. After putting the gift away, Anna returned. She sat a little further from Ferdi. ”Ann, do you know Indri? You two were in the same school in junior high, at Purna Bangsa, right?” ”Indri?
Hmmm, I might know her. Maybe I just forgot her face. Why, Fer?” ”I like her, Ann, I love her very much. But, it turns out she's been with a guy named Adolf for a long time.” “Adolf?” Anna asked, surprised.
“Actually, I was going to confess to her. Because until now, there's no woman I love and care for more than her, even if other women try to pay attention to me.” Ferdi continued sadly.
“What about Allah, the Prophet, your family, and your other friends, who might care for you more? Do you love Indri, who may not even be good for you, more than all of them?” Anna asked, looking sharply at Ferdi.
“Fer…, realize it! There are many others who love you more than Indri. You just haven't tried to open your eyes to look around, like at…” Anna almost let it slip, but she quickly changed direction. ”Oh…, Astaghfirullah al-azim! I forgot! The cake might be burnt, I'll go to the kitchen first, okay! Oh, and I'll take the glass too.” Anna said, picking up the empty glass.
”Oh, okay, go ahead.” She went to the kitchen to meet her three loyal friends who were helping her. In the kitchen, her three friends were still busy making food. Anna came in with a rather annoyed face, carrying the empty drink glass, and she slammed it into the sink. Fortunately, the glass was strong enough not to break. She washed it and placed it on the dish rack.
”Ann, what's wrong? You were cheerful earlier.” Tania said, arranging the pudding. Anna just remained silent at the question. ”You better tell us, Ann, what's going on?” Alia asked, trying to decorate the birthday cake with Gustina's help. ”It's useless inviting him! He just makes my blood boil.” Anna said, looking at them. ”Who are you talking about?” Gustina asked, spreading chocolate and then arranging cherries on the birthday cake.
”All he thinks about is Indri, Indri, and Indri! He can't understand other people's feelings, can he?” Anna said, slamming something like a cake spoon, paper plate, and finally throwing a rice ladle every time she mentioned Indri's name. They understood what Anna meant. With a sad tone, and while tidying up everything she had thrown, she recounted the incident that made her upset.
They just smiled listening to Anna's words. ”Alright, Ann, how about this, just act normal in front of him. If you really have feelings for him, you can show him that you can be better than Indri. Can you do that?” They said, arranging the cake, pudding, and other food on the tray. Anna was silent for a moment.
“Can I really act better than Indri? Well, I'll try. I hope I can.” Anna thought to herself. Not long after, Ferdi shouted from the living room, calling. ”Ann, Anna, Aditia and the rest of the Rohis group are here!” Anna rushed to meet them all. They were all welcomed and invited to sit in the designated area. Finally, all the guests had gathered at Anna's house.
And without wasting any more time, the event began after Maghrib. A welcoming speech was delivered by Anna, representing her parents. This is what she said.
“Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh. Alhamdulillah, on this occasion, Allah has allowed all of us to gather here to attend my 16th birthday celebration. Salawat and salam, we do not forget to pour upon the great Prophet Muhammad SAW, who has led us from a dark path without direction, to a bright path full of clear direction and purpose. By conveying the religion of Islam and providing the Qur'an and Hadith as our guide in life so that we do not go astray.
Without further ado, once again I express my sincere gratitude to all of you for taking the time to come to this event. Although this event is very simple, I hope it can provide memorable things for all of you. As the host, I apologize if there are still shortcomings here and there. That is due to my limited ability to make everything perfect. Alright, I will not speak at length anymore, let us begin this event.” The event continued with the recitation of Surah Yasin and Tahlil, led by Abdul Razaq Alhusaini, one of the Rohis administrators.
Then it concluded with a prayer led by Ahmad Gafur. After the welcoming speech and prayer, the event continued with informal activities, such as blowing out candles, cutting the cake, and so on. The happy birthday song was also sung by everyone present. After the meal ended, the guests said goodbye to Anna one by one. Until finally, all the guests left Anna's house at 10 PM.
But Anna was confused; she didn't see Ferdi, Aditia, Alia, Tania, and Guestina.
“Oh no, where are they? Have they gone home? Ah, no way, they wouldn't just leave like that.” Anna thought to herself. Suddenly, the phone at Anna's house rang. Anna picked up the phone and said: ”Assalamualaikum, who is this?” ”Waalaikumsalam, Ann, it's me. Sorry, I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to you earlier. Because I was in a hurry.
My dad suddenly fainted at home, and I was called by someone at home to come back quickly. Oh, by the way, Alia, Guestina, and Tania also went home with me. Alright, Ann, be careful at home. Wasalamualaikum!” Ferdi said in a panic, immediately hanging up the phone. ”Waalaikumsalam.” Anna's face showed tears because she was confused; she was alone in the house.
Finally, Anna cleared the scattered glasses and plates and carried them to the kitchen by herself.
“You all are so cruel to me, leaving Anna alone. Anna hates you all! Especially Ferdi, you really are a selfish guy!” Anna said, placing the plates and glasses in the sink. Anna cried while washing the plates and glasses. But when Anna turned around, she was incredibly surprised. When she saw 4 scary figures with fierce faces. They stared fiercely at Anna.
”Who are you? Don't bother me!” ”Hey human child, in truth, you are the one who has disturbed us. You have created a commotion in our area. Know that we are envoys from the kingdom of jinn residing in the banyan tree, located behind your house.” Said one of the scariest creatures, holding Anna's back. Indeed, behind Anna's house was a lush banyan tree that looked quite eerie.
Because the tree was quite old. ”So, what do you want now?” Anna asked with a pale face. ”As punishment for you, you must come with us now! Close your eyes, and don't open them until we command you! If you refuse, you will know the consequences yourself!” Said one of them. Anna obeyed what was commanded. She closed her eyes tightly with both hands.
Anna was brought into her house, and then she was ordered by them to sit on the sofa in the living room of the house. They then sat next to Anna. ”What were you and your friends doing earlier?” They said in a frightening tone. ”I just had my 16th birthday celebration, and I invited my friends to celebrate it.” Anna said, now somewhat calm. ”Why weren't we invited?
Don't you know of our existence?” They replied, seemingly getting angrier. ”That's right, I'm just a human. While all of you are unseen beings, I cannot see you. I can only recite prayers for you so that you may be calm and peaceful. Forgive me!” ”Why didn't you give us incense, stanggi, sweet/bitter coffee, offerings, or other sacrifices? Even though that would be better for us.” Replied one of the creatures.
”Forgive me, I cannot give that to you, because it is outside the provisions of my religion, and I do not want to become a polytheist.” ”Alright, we understand. We will immediately leave to return to our palace. May God protect you.” ”Amen!” “But we are angry, why… Why are we called unseen beings? Even though you don't really know who we are because your eyes are closed.” They said, now standing directly in front of Anna, and one of their hands choked Anna's neck.
With a reflex, Anna immediately opened her eyes, and Anna was utterly shocked to see her four friends, Ferdi, Alia, Tania, and Gustina, standing and smiling, saying: ”Boo! Hehehehehe… Was it fun?” Then they all sang accompanied by Ferdi playing the guitar. Anna was annoyed and embarrassed by her friends' prank. ”Stop it…! Do you really think all this is funny?
It's not funny, you know.” Anna snapped. ”Who said it was funny, Ann? We didn't, did we, friends? Come on, if it's funny, everyone, let's laugh! Hahahahahaha…” Ferdi replied on behalf of them. They all laughed. Anna left them all and slammed her bedroom door as hard as she could. ”What now? Anna's sulking!” Ferdi said to Anna's three loyal friends.
”That's normal, Fer, come on, let's coax her.” Tania replied calmly, heading towards Anna's room. They all followed Tania to the bedroom door. ”Ann, open up, Ann. We just wanted to make a surprise earlier. Anna, forgive us! Anna is good, and beautiful too, Anna is simply the most beautiful person in the world. Ferdi is starting to love Anna. Open up, Ann!” Ferdi said with a deadly charm, knocking on Anna's bedroom door.
Anna just remained silent in her room, ignoring their coaxing. They coaxed Anna for a long time, but there was no reaction. ”Alright, Ann, maybe I was wrong, I was the one who made that surprise. So if you're really angry with me, I'll go home, Ann. Assalamualaikum.” Ferdi said, turning away from Anna's room and heading to the yard. ”Waalaikumsalam.” Anna thought to herself.
Ferdi then went home, leaving Anna. He immediately started his car and sped away from the house. At Anna's house, Alia, Guestina, and Tania continued to coax Anna to open her door. Finally, she opened it. ”Ann, Ferdi just wanted to make a fun surprise for you. It wouldn't be fun if your event was just flat. Why are you like that with him?” Alia said, who was still patiently coaxing Anna.
”Forgive me! Actually, I'm not angry with him, but I'm just embarrassed that I called him selfish in the kitchen. Maybe he heard it.” Anna replied, opening the door for them. ”Of course, when you were washing dishes, we were hiding in the corner of the kitchen near the pantry, and when you said that, he just smiled. So, after that, we immediately launched our prank on you.” Tania said with a meaningful smile.
”You know, when he said goodbye to go home, he looked gloomy. And he told me to coax you until you opened the door. And he also apologized profusely to you for all of it.” Alia added, having made up part of her speech herself. ”Here, in my opinion, you should just call him and apologize to him. That is, if you want to.” Tania replied, pointing to the telephone on the table.
”Alright then, I'll call him.” Anna said, rushing to the phone. Anna then called Ferdi's house and Susan answered. ”Hello, who is this?” Susan said, sounding sleepy. ”Assalamualaikum, Sister Susan, this is Anna. Has Ferdi arrived yet, Sis?” ”Waalaikumsalam. Not yet, Ann. What's up?” Susan said, yawning. ”Nothing, Sis, Anna just wants to talk to him.
Does he have a cell phone number, Sis?” ”Oh, he does, please write it down! The number is….” Anna wrote down the number. ”Alright, Sis, thank you! Sorry to bother you. Wasalamualaikum.” ”Waalaikumsalam.”
