On a beautiful morning, there lived a person named Bunga. She was slender like a violin, and of course, she was a woman with thick hair like a palm fiber broom. Bunga was a teenage girl who could perform traditional and modern dances, sing all songs, and play all musical instruments. In addition, she also excelled in her class. She had won various competitions, many teachers praised her, and many friends liked her. She also had a loyal friend, one of whom was Bayu, the most handsome boy in that school. This made Widia, Bunga's rival, jealous, and she tried various ways to defeat Bunga. Bayu and Bunga had been friends since childhood because their houses were next to each other, and both their parents often visited each other and were friendly, sometimes even sharing food or drinks right after they finished cooking in their respective kitchens. Bayu always accompanied his parents when they went to Bunga's house, and vice versa. Upon arriving at each other's houses during their visits, both Bayu and Bunga always followed each other, except when going to the bathroom. When Bayu ate at the table, Bunga kept him company. They were just friends. Bunga often visited Bayu's house after school, sometimes without even changing her uniform, a white shirt and a red skirt. Bunga would even often shout, "Bayu, let's play!", "Play what?" and they would discuss. Bunga and Bayu often played by a lake far from their houses; near the lake, there was a small house. They often played there. The small house was made of wood, light blue like the sky. That small house was a secret place for them; they even wrote their fantasies and aspirations for when they grew up in a diary. Next to her sat a man named Bayu; he wasn't human, but he was handsome and looked really cool, like Brad Pitt – hey, who's your favorite artist? He wore a red striped shirt with jeans. His hair was straight like stick snacks, his nose was pointed like a cashew fruit, and his face was clean of beard and mustache. They were both students at a school called Larut. I walked towards them. Upon reaching them, "Hi...." But I fell silent seeing them engrossed in joking and calling each other intimately, so I waited by sitting between them. Bayu, "Oh, it's you," "Yeah, sorry for ignoring you," Bunga. I, "It's okay, relax." Something diverted my gaze. A greeting called out to me, "Good morning...." which made me turn right, left, and back, searching for where that voice came from. Something tapped my shoulder, a hand. This hand, of course, had a body, perfect, oh my goodness, teacher! We immediately shouted, "Good morning, teacher!" while shaking his hand. "Where are you going, teacher?" "To class, let's learn, beautiful, handsome, and smart children," "Let's go!" Something felt off! What was rolling? A ball! Until finally, Bunga went on vacation with her parents to the peak, but misfortune befell Bunga and her family on the way. The car they were in skidded and fell into a ravine. Bunga's parents died instantly, and Angga, Bunga's younger brother, was injured. Bunga, meanwhile, suffered severe injuries, and both of them were taken to the hospital for treatment. Since Bunga lost her parents, she was raised by others, specifically neighbors near her house. They were people who often saw Bunga and understood her character, and they loved Bunga very much. Moreover, they were not blessed with children by God. They said, "Bunga, be our child, consider us like your parents, call us and let us take their place." "Okay, Uncle, okay, Auntie, from now on, Bunga will consider you her parents, may God repay your kindness." Since then, Bunga had parents, how happy she was. Bunga sang using a kecapi, her favorite musical instrument. "Last flower, I dedicate to you, the most beautiful, as a sign of love for her...." while imagining her parents who had left her, shedding tears slowly but surely, becoming heavier and heavier until she stopped, then Bayu came over. "Bunga, don't be sad anymore, your parents must be sad too, watching you from up there, try to look at the sky, imagine how they feel." “Is that so, Bayu? Alright, from now on, I will be happy,” Bunga said, wiping her tears with a handkerchief. However, God's trials for Bunga were not over yet; she became paralyzed. Bunga was so desperate; all her dreams seemed shattered. Fortunately, she had loyal friends who always comforted and supported her to be resilient in facing life's challenges. Widia took advantage of this situation to insult and bother Bunga, who was sitting helplessly in a wheelchair. Widia, “Tsk, you low-class woman! Trash! Useless! What can you even do? You can't even walk, ahahahah!” But Bunga just remained silent and smiled gently and calmly, listening to the insults. Suddenly, the teacher interjected, "Widia, dear, you shouldn't say things like that; after all, she is still our sister. How would you feel if you were in her position?" "I don't believe it either," Andi chimed in, shaking his head and looking at Bunga. Even all of Bunga's past victories were snatched by Widia. Without Bunga and the others' knowledge, Bayu suddenly suffered a severe headache until he finally fainted. His family took him to the hospital, and he was diagnosed with brain cancer. But what Bayu was experiencing was unknown to Bunga and the others. Various methods had been tried for healing, but there was still no hope. Bayu, who used to always protect and comfort Bunga, was now in declining condition. Nevertheless, Bayu still tried to be cheerful and was always there to accompany Bunga. However, Bayu's condition weakened further, until finally, Bayu's parents invited Bunga and the others to visit Bayu. That's when Bayu's parents told them what Bayu had been going through all this time. Bunga's heart was so sad; she felt God was unfair to her. Because God had taken so many things from her, further limiting her, tears welled up in her eyes and rolled down her cheeks, drip, drip, drip, like raindrops falling to wet the earth. Upon arriving at the hospital, Bayu's parents finally explained Bayu's condition, that he was diagnosed with only a few days left to live. Bunga's heart was sad seeing Bayu in a weak and pale condition. She cried, wondering why God was taking away her happiness and the people she loved. She wished God would take her life, not Bayu's. But Bayu's fate could not be changed; as he approached his end, Bayu managed to apologize to Bunga and the others. Bayu also advised Bunga not to easily despair and to remain the Bunga she used to be. Not long after that, Bayu began to lose consciousness. While Bayu was in a coma at the hospital, Bunga had a dream. In that dream, Bayu was riding a white Pegasus horse as clear as a cloud, then Bayu approached Bunga and invited her to fly together with the white Pegasus around a beautiful flower garden in the pure white clouds. Bunga heard the neighing of the horse, "hiiik," and the flapping of Pegasus's wings, "plak, plak," accompanied by the chirping of birds, "cuit cuit," and the meowing of a cat, "Meooong." Finally, Bayu took his last breath, and Bunga and the others cried. Even at the funeral, Bunga still didn't want to leave. A sad atmosphere still enveloped Bayu's family and friends, including Bunga. Three days passed since Bayu's departure, and Bunga returned to school with her friends. As they were chatting, Widia came to bother Bunga and her friends. But fortunately, a teacher saw what happened and punished Widia. This incident made Bunga reluctant to go to school again; Bunga was tired of being insulted and underestimated by Widia. She also didn't want to bother anyone else, so she took a shortcut to end her life. She took a knife from the table amidst a plate of fruits. And not long after, Bunga lay unconscious in her wheelchair with a wounded hand and blood dripping on the floor. Seeing this, her aunt screamed in panic, calling the driver, “Driver! Bunga fell! Help! Help! Oh my goodness, Miss Bunga! Wake up!” while shaking her body, and the driver took Bunga to the hospital. While unconscious and under doctor's care, Bunga felt as if she met her parents and Bayu. Then they talked, while at the hospital, all of Bunga's friends kept crying, calling her name. “Bungaaaa...bungaaa huuuu huuu hu!” Meanwhile, in another realm, Bunga felt happy to meet her parents and Bayu. However, something urged Bunga to return to her body. That's when Bunga regained consciousness, and everyone there smiled happily. Since that incident, something strange happened to Bunga. She seemed to see another dimension; she could see strange things around her. She didn't know what was happening; she could even see people who had passed away, including Bayu. Finally, she told her friend Ina about it, and Ina took Bunga to Ina's aunt, Aunt Mila, who had the special ability to see other dimensions. Since then, Bunga was no longer surprised to see strange things around her; she could even talk to her parents and Bayu. Although they were in different worlds, the support for Bunga made her cheerful and optimistic again. Bunga returned to school full of enthusiasm; now she no longer cared if Widia came to bother her. Even Widia's strategies to harm Bunga always failed because Bayu was always protecting Bunga and managed to help Bunga regain the top rank in her class. Bunga also returned to playing music, singing, and dancing, even from her wheelchair. This led Bunga to win various awards again; Bunga's parents were happy to see their daughter winning various awards again. Bunga even wanted to undergo therapy for her leg's recovery, and the results began to show progress. In addition, Bunga was also active in the community for people with disabilities, so Bunga no longer felt sad. Bunga's activities in the disability community included writing, reading, caring for children, storytelling, giving lectures, and motivation to other people with disabilities. Because many people out there experienced what Bunga did, and some were even less fortunate than Bunga. When the final exams arrived, Bunga and her friends became busy working on the test questions for three days. After finishing the exams, while waiting for the results, Bunga and her other friends went to a tourist spot. Again, Widia tried to harm Bunga by pushing Bunga's wheelchair to make her fall into the pond. However, it was Widia who fell into the pond, and Bunga was safe from Widia's mischief. At Bunga's lavish birthday celebration, Bunga invited all her classmates, relatives, and even her community friends; Bayu's parents also came. They loved Bunga very much, and they agreed to adopt Bunga and her younger brother as their children. Of course, this made Bunga happy and touched, as did Bayu and Bunga's parents. Because Bunga had truly found a new family. Seeing Bunga's happiness, Widia became even more annoyed. This time, Widia tried to push Bunga off the stage. But before her intention could be carried out, while descending the stairs, the dress she was wearing got caught on her shoe, and Widia fell to the floor, hitting her head on the stairs. Widia was finally taken to the hospital, and after examination, she regained consciousness, but she was shocked to see everything around her in complete darkness. Widia screamed hysterically, then the doctor examined Widia's condition. After examining her, the doctor said that Widia had become blind. Bunga heard the news and visited her, but Widia misunderstood Bunga's sincere intention and thought Bunga would laugh at her blindness. Not long after, the exam results were announced, and all students were declared to have passed. All students rejoiced, and that's when Widia, with the help of her friends, approached Bunga to apologize, and they made up. Nada didn't like Bunga; she complained about Bunga's heartfelt feelings to her parents, and it crossed her mind that this child should be punished and changed according to her wishes, forcing her to be like a normal person. However, Bayu helped her by sending energy, prayers, and friends to pull her out of her sadness by giving her a glimmer of hope to lift her degraded self. "Hey, she's passing, shout at her, say something, ask anything," Gagas said as Bunga passed him. "Where's Gang Senggol, Bunga?" But Bunga just walked past in silence because her feelings told her to stay quiet. Bunga walked to a flower display and said, "Miss, do you have roses?" "No, wait, do we, Miss?" asked one salesgirl to another. "Yes," she said, pointing with her right thumb towards the flowers. "Psst, Miss, why did you show her? I don't want her to buy our shop," "You shouldn't say that, you can't refuse good fortune," but Bunga could only restrain herself, silent as the salesgirls whispered, and Bunga felt she was being talked about, "well, maybe it's just my imagination," Bunga thought to herself, trying to cheer herself up. And she saw Bayu for a moment among the salesgirls. Shocked! And Bunga quickly called her friend to close it again, but after it was closed, she saw Bayu at her house again. Slowly, Bunga accepted this. As Bunga began to accept being able to see Bayu, her caregivers noticed her strange behavior, like talking to herself, being more silent and withdrawn. This made them embarrassed because she was different from others, and they felt ashamed when people said, "Ugh, they have a crazy child, already crazy and in a wheelchair too." This shame made them confine Bunga to her room after school and decided to marry her off to a rich, ugly young man, and decided that Bunga should only be a housewife and stop school. Hearing this statement, Bunga could only cry alone in her room, with no one to confide in. She felt lonely. Bunga walked to a pedestrian bridge and talked to people passing by. "Hey, I'm lonely, I can see and hear voices," but almost everyone ignored her, acting as if she wasn't there. However, one person approached, "Miss, you have Schizophrenia," "What's that?" "I'm sorry, Miss, I'm in a hurry," the man said, running towards a woman who looked angry, staring at them as they spoke. "It's okay," Bunga felt uneasy; the woman was jealous. In her mind, she prayed, "Oh God, please help them, have mercy on them, reconcile them. Amen." Bayu poked her, "Psst, beautiful Bunga, come here, let's chat!" but Bunga ignored him, still confused about what that was earlier. Bunga walked listlessly home and accepted her fate that she would be married tonight. Bayu, "Bunga, don't be sad, who knows, he might make you happy and get you out of trouble," and her tears stopped, replaced by a smile. Bunga's sibling came in, "Serves you right, you'll be treated just like you treated your own family, karma's a bitch!" However, it turned out that throughout her life's journey until now, having two grandchildren from her only child, nothing bad happened. Bunga played a musical instrument with four notes divided into four and one remaining below; this instrument had many strings, rested on four small, strong legs, and was made of teak wood. This instrument made a loud sound accompanying her sad voice.... This musical instrument, in Japan, is played by Geishas; in our beloved country, it's often used to accompany traditional dances that Bunga performed during kindergarten lessons for a competition held at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. What instrument is it? Guess what? hehe... Oh yes, a colorful kecapi, there's red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple, orange, pink, blue in the form of dots, beautiful lines... aaah... Bunga sang: "You little candles....etc" > Chrisye again, what else is mellow? Her voice was nasal, tears flowed freely down her cheeks from her eyes as Bunga sang sadly. Sometimes Bunga had to stop in the middle of a song and cry loudly, "hoo hoo hoo hoo...." Bunga could never be separated from Bayu until now; they needed each other. The feeling Bunga felt, which was love, slowly changed into something ordinary, a feeling like when they were friends since childhood. They were separated by different realms, so Bayu could only be a friend and a guardian angel who always protected Bunga until it was time for Bayu to reincarnate. In their togetherness, there were times when they also joked and teased each other. They ran in the drizzle, and they both got a fever from the rain. Her diary was thick, bright yellow with a heart drawn on the front. When Bunga opened the diary, she imagined Bayu from that time, something in the writing. She read while slowly opening the diary, old papers that once filled their days. Little Bayu was now in her mind's eye, playing an online game created by his father, a clinical psychologist. His father observed children nowadays who tend to be psycho, engaging in violence verbally, in writing, or behaviorally. So his father felt responsible for treating many people without dependence or addiction. The tenth page of the diary opened, and Bunga was startled by Bayu's writing. He wrote, “I appreciate her feelings for me, but I'm afraid this will ruin our friendship, and right now I like a girl named Lili; she is a kind and beautiful girl with an amazing family background!” “Oh, so that's it, no wonder Bayu avoided me and was reluctant to talk to me; I understand, and maybe he wanted to protect those feelings,” Bunga murmured as she opened the 20th page. There, Bunga found writing that made her smile. The story of her journey made me, who was sitting beside her, accompany her, listening to her murmuring and her innocent expression. She started writing when there was a competition at her school, and she immediately won first place! And someone wrote a love letter to her, “Bunga, I like you, will you be my girlfriend? I admire you, you are beautiful and accomplished.” In her imagination, a man wearing a white shirt and dark blue trousers stood beside her with a face flushed red like a tomato. “Thank you for the letter and your presence, but you don't know what I'm truly like, how can you immediately ask me to be your girlfriend? I'm afraid you will only be sad, angry, and disappointed to see my true condition. And, please forgive me, what is your name? Which class are you from?” Bunga wrote in the diary. “Let me introduce myself, my name is Jali. I often see you because our classes are next to each other. I've always tried to find out information about you from the beginning when we accidentally bumped into each other in the hallway while rushing because we were late for the ceremony, do you still remember that incident?” “Oh yes, when we first started school, right?” Bunga replied, to which Jali responded, “Yes, so, will you be my girlfriend?” Bunga was silent for a few minutes and then answered, “Thank you, but I apologize for refusing dating, because my parents entrusted me with that. So I have to obey. Is that okay?” “Oh, I see, you're even more beautiful then, alright, I respect your wishes, and I will continue to pursue you, maybe someday we can get married.” “Thank you, but I am just ordinary, not a beautiful woman, and try to open yourself up. I myself can't really promise to marry you. It's very likely that there's a better woman than me whom you should consider as your partner. I hope these words don't offend your feelings,” Bunga said. The man slowly nodded, walked away, and smiled in admiration. In his mind, this woman is amazing! May she be happy with her life. I also helped Bunga open page 40 of the diary; oh yes, she once wrote about something. Bunga, because of hatred, used to criticize, hit, and tell people to be quiet, and when she was treated that way, it turned out to be incredibly painful. However, having experienced the pain, Bunga chose not to repeat the same mistake by hurting others. Created by AnNa OktaVia and I
