As usual, most students attending courses in English Village were late. Their principle was that if a program was scheduled for 7:00 AM WIB, it meant they would only then depart from their respective boarding houses for the course. Some even believed that 7:00 AM was their wake-up time. Understandably, they valued time so much that their rest time was absolutely sacred.
This time, I'm going to tell a story about one of my boarding house mates; let's call him Joko. He was a student at an English language course in English Village. That morning was an unlucky one for this football fanatic. Understandably, his favorite team had played early that morning, and as usual, he had stayed up late to watch his beloved team compete.
That morning, he woke up late. In fact, as far as I knew, he didn't even have time to shower; he only managed to brush his teeth and wash his face. After that, he hurriedly grabbed his beloved motorcycle. Like someone in a rush, he didn't have time to notice what was on the back seat of his bike. He hastily pulled his motorcycle out of the boarding house garage while buttoning up his shirt with one hand. Then, without even warming up his bike, he sped off in a frenzy.
The course institution he attended was quite large, with about five hundred students. As soon as he arrived at the course parking lot, he rushed in a frenzy into class. An hour and a half later, the class ended. It was time to go home and continue his sleeping round 2 program. Confidently, Joko left the class to retrieve his motorcycle. To Joko's utter surprise, his motorcycle was surrounded by about twenty people, all smiling. After seeing his motorcycle, Joko was utterly mortified. It turned out that his landlady's pink bra was hanging from the rear fender of his motorcycle. So embarrassed, he didn't know what to do. Finally, he joined the crowd and laughed at his own motorcycle so that no one would realize it was his. Once the crowd thinned out a bit, he swiftly grabbed his motorcycle and returned to the boarding house without removing the bra that was still hanging from the rear fender of his bike.
