Case Study: NSSS Shares (Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera)

As a learning example, we will use transaction data for NSSS shares (PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk). Recently, it was observed that Samuel Tumbuh Bersama transferred NSSS shares through a loan transaction.

How can we detect this movement from the outset? Here are the data tracking steps using an accessible securities application:

1. Tracking Negotiated Market Transactions & Information Disclosure

There was a time lag between the transaction date (July 4, 2024) and the publication date (July 12, 2024). This highlights the importance of carefully reading transaction data.

2. Identifying the "Comb Volume" Pattern in the Regular Market

In addition to large transactions in the negotiated market, we also need to check conditions in the regular market. When dissecting NSSS's daily historical transaction data (for example, during the period of July 9 to 12), a very specific volume pattern emerges.

Daily transaction volume shows a relatively constant figure, for instance, in the range of 6 million to 7 million lots each day post-purchase. When viewed numerically, this volume shape appears flat yet hollow, similar to the teeth of a comb. This "Comb Volume" pattern is a distinctive characteristic often seen in shares that are being repoed or whose prices are being maintained.

3. Accumulation Phase and Multibagger Potential

After identifying repo indications and the comb volume pattern, the next step is to analyze its bandarmology (market maker activity). Using data analysis tools, we can observe the average price range when institutions or large investors begin accumulating.

In the case of NSSS, the accumulation phase was strongly observed in the price range of 180 to 184. If an investor could detect this repo pattern early, participate in buying, and hold the shares, following the institutional movement, the profit potential would be extraordinary.

NSSS share price peaked in January 2026, reaching 1,995. Calculated from the initial accumulation price of 180, this represents an increase of over 1,000 percent. Even if an investor realized this late and only started monitoring when the price in late July 2026 was around 900, the multibagger profit potential still existed before the institution returned its repo shares.

Conclusion

Repo stock transactions leave data trails that retail investors can track, from negotiated market transactions and information disclosures to the comb volume pattern in the regular market. With the right analytical tools and the ability to read historical data, the opportunity to follow the movements of "Big Money" is wide open, even without having to visually interpret charts.

As I always say: Profit is simple; you're the complicated one.
