I hear the whispering wind, sighing, enticing the silent trees to slowly dance amidst the forest where every branch rustles mournfully, with the melodious sound of the flowing river, like the sorrowful song of the forest goddess. My hand reaches out for a star, sparkling like a gem, but that star is not easily grasped. I can reach it, yes, but I cannot possess it like a ring on my finger, nor like a necklace beautifully encircling my neck. Oh, can you hear me, moon? I wish to possess just one star in the sky, not to hold forever in my grasp, but I wish to keep it in my heart, to carry it throughout my life. My request is not much, just one star, which I will guard within my breast, to become the beat of my heart. I will embrace it forever, until my pulse ceases, or my body remains eternal in its light, until the world forgets me, who once yearned. I have no desire to release it, even if a thousand stars appear, I have no desire to replace it with another gleam. So grant me, oh moon, just one of your starry host for me to hold forever. Let it fall into my lap, and I will guard it.
